FISHING

Set in a stunning, unspoilt landscape, bordered by Sheffield Forest, Colin Godmans Trouting has been playing host to fly fishermen for the past 30 years. For the first time in its history, the private syndicate that has been fishing the three lakes is open to a limited number of new members. Numbers will be kept to a level that preserves the unique character of the location.

The seven acres of water are regularly stocked with rainbow trout during the April to October season, and also contain some brown trout. The swims, banks and paths are regularly maintained to a high standard, and there are two summer houses for sheltering from the rain. There is a limit of 4 fish per visit and the syndicate abide by a fly-fishing code of practice.

Membership rates
£250 for a half-rod (15 visits)
£350 for a three-quarter rod (23 visits)
£420 for a full rod (30 visits)

There is also a first timer’s option of six visits for £100.
Members may bring up to 3 guests, taken from their allocation of visits. We are also considering weekend or week-long tickets for holiday makers in the area.

Please read The Code of Practice before your first visit
